Itinerary
Day 0 : Delhi Night Departure for Shimla's Charm.
- We'll meet at our designated rendezvous point between 10:00 and 11:00 PM, ready to board our comfortable vehicle and embark on an overnight journey towards Shimla's captivating embrace. As we settle in for the ride, the twinkling city lights of Delhi will slowly fade, replaced by the promise of a new dawn amidst the majestic Himalayas.
Day 1 : Shimla to Chitkul | Last inhabited village on Indo-China Border.
- Fuel up for adventure! The Spiti expedition quest starts from here. Our day begins in the charming town and continues through Narkanda, offering breathtaking Himalayan vistas. We'll then wind our way down to the Sangla Valley, following the Sutlej River until Karcham.
- Here, a sharp turn ushers us onto a new path alongside the Baspa River, leading to our final destination - Chitkul, The last inhabited village before the Indo-China border.
- Nestled at the edge of the inhabitable world, this village boasts the legendary "Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba," where we can savor a delicious meal (based on time availability) before settling in for a cozy night at our hotel or homestay.
Day 2 : Chitkul to Kalpa | Winding Roads and Majestic Mountains.
Fuel up for a scenic drive after breakfast! We check out and head towards Kalpa, a charming village nestled amidst the Himalayas.
Our journey takes us along the Spiti River, offering breathtaking 360-degree panoramas of the mountains. As we wind our way back towards Karcham, get ready to delve deeper into the valley. A turn at Powari leads us to ReoKong Peo, the bustling main town of Kinnaur. From here, it's a short hop to Kalpa, our final destination for the day.
Tonight, we'll rest amidst the beauty of Kalpa, gazing upon the majestic Kinnaur Kailash mountains. Dinner and a comfortable stay in a Kalpa hotel complete this picture-perfect day.
Day 3 : Kalpa - Nako - Tabo | Unveiling the Enchanting Spiti Valley.
Fuel up for an exciting day with an early breakfast. We'll depart, weaving through the breathtaking Spiti Valley along the Indo-Tiber Highway. Keep your eyes peeled for the Khab Bridge, marking the dramatic meeting point of the Spiti and Satluj Rivers.
A delightful lunch awaits in Nako, a charming stopover before we officially enter the enchanting Spiti Valley upon crossing Sumdo. Our journey culminates in the captivating town of Tabo, where we'll check into our cozy homestay and savor the flavors of local Spiti cuisine.
Day 4 : Tabo to Kaza | Unveiling Spiti's Gems - Dhankar, Pin Valley & Mudh.
Fuel up for a day of exploring Spiti's hidden treasures! After breakfast, we'll take a slight detour to Dhankar, a charming hamlet perched amidst dramatic scenery.
Time permitting, a one-hour climb above the village leads to the turquoise Dhankar Lake, which offers breathtaking panoramas.
Refreshed by the mountain air, we'll hit the road again, this time towards the picturesque Pin Valley. Our first stop is Kungri Monastery, steeped in history and serenity. The journey culminates in Mudh, which is the last motorable village of the Pin Valley.
As the day draws to a close, we'll wind down the road back to Kaza, where a delicious dinner and a cozy homestay await.
Day 5 : Hikkim – Komic – Langza – Key Monastery | Postcards, Peaks & Fossil Fuels.
Fuel up for a day unlike any other! After breakfast, we embark on a journey through the divine Spiti Valley. Our first stop is Hikkim, the world's highest post office at a staggering 4,400 meters. Send a postcard from this remote outpost, a cherished connection for you and a unique souvenir for loved ones.
Continuing our ascent, we reach Komic, nestled amidst breathtaking mountains and proudly holding the title of the world's highest motorable village. Here, we'll savor a delicious lunch before descending slightly to Langza, a village steeped in history. Explore the ancient marine fossils embedded in the landscape, a testament to the dramatic geological shifts this region has witnessed. Take a piece of Spiti's natural history home with a fossil you can collect.
As the day progresses, we reach the crown jewel - the spectacular Key Monastery. Perched atop a hilltop at an altitude of 4,166 meters, this Tibetan Buddhist monastery offers a glimpse into the spiritual heart of Spiti.
After soaking in the panoramic views and cultural significance, we descend to Kaza, where a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay await.
Day 6 : Chasing the Moon: Chicham Bridge & Chandratal Lake.
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Kaza and embark on a journey towards Chicham Bridge. Holding the title of Asia's highest bridge, it offers breathtaking panoramic vistas that will leave you speechless.
Leaving the dizzying heights behind, we descend towards Chandratal, the "Moon Lake" nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas. This hidden gem, true to its name, shimmers with an almost ethereal blue hue. Take a leisurely stroll around the lake, capturing its mesmerizing beauty on camera. As the sun dips below the horizon, we drive down to our campsite for the night.
Imagine a star-studded sky overhead, and a steaming hot supper – the perfect way to unwind after an adventurous day. Tonight, under a blanket of stars, we rest our heads in the camps near the enchanting Chandratal Lake.
Day 7 : Chandratal lake to Manali | Goodbyes.
- With the visuals of the stunning Chandratal Lake captured in the minds and cameras, you will continue tracing your steps back towards Manali.
- You will pass through the newly built Atal Tunnel to reach Manali where you can choose to explore the markets shopping for souvenirs.
- You will be boarding a Volvo AC Bus from Manali to Delhi in Evening Overnight journey from Manali to Delhi/Chandigarh .
THINGS TO KNOW/TERMS & CONDITIONS.
- Acclimatization and Health Precautions: Take ample time to acclimatize to high altitudes, and consult a medical professional before embarking on the tour. Ensure you carry essential medications and a first-aid kit during your journey.
- Exclusions: Entry tickets for attractions, monuments, camera fees, permits, etc., are not included in the package. Additionally, personal expenses and items of personal nature are to be borne by the traveler.
Itinerary Changes: Travloger reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, political unrest, or any other disturbances. However, the total duration of the tour and included services will remain unchanged.
Liability: Travloger is not liable for itinerary alterations beyond our control, including changes in flight or train schedules, flight/train cancellations, political unrest, natural disasters, roadblocks, etc. No reimbursement will be provided for missed services.
Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued for your unfinished tours or activities, regardless of the reason, whether natural or personal.
Safety Guidelines: Adhere to the instructions provided by tour guides and instructors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience throughout the journey.
GST and Additional Charges: Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applicable to the package cost. Any additional expenses, including meals or transfers not specified in the itinerary, are excluded from the package.
Cash and Documentation: Carry sufficient cash as ATMs may be limited in high-altitude regions. Each guest must carry a valid ID proof during booking and upon arrival.
Transportation and Clothing: Transportation will be provided in non-AC and non-heater vehicles. Dress appropriately for the weather conditions during travel.
Mid-Trip Departure: Should a traveler choose to leave the tour midway, all expenses from that point onwards will be the responsibility of the traveler, with neither the operator nor Travloger liable for refunds.
COVID-19 Guidelines: Follow state-government issued guidelines, maintain social distancing, sanitize hands frequently, and wear masks as recommended.
Baggage and Accommodation: Carry adequate warm clothing and suitable footwear. Baggage weight is advised to be limited to 60 liters. Accommodations are subject to availability, with alternative arrangements made if necessary.
Environmental Responsibility: Help preserve the ecological balance of destinations by avoiding the use of plastic bags. Littering may result in fines.
Damages: Any breakage or damage to resort property will incur actual charges.
- Rescheduling Policy for Private (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings: 1) If rescheduling is made 7 days after the Booking Date till 15 days prior to the Date of Travel then 30.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees. | 2) If rescheduling is made 0 days to 15 days before the Date of Travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. | 3) If bookings are made 15 days before the Date of Travel no rescheduling & modifications will be made.
- Rescheduling Policy for Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modification or Rescheduling will be catered. A standard cancellation policy will be applicable for such cases.
- Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseeable circumstances), Travloger reserves the right to reschedule Tours & treks or offer alternative itineraries to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
- Cancellation After Rescheduling: Clients who reschedule their tours or treks but later decide to cancel will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. Any rescheduling fees paid will be non-refundable.
