Is this a group departure or a private trip?

This is a community group departure. You travel with a small batch of other travellers, with a Travloger trip captain along for the whole trip. Rooms are always separate for men and women. If you would rather have a private room or a private vehicle, tell us and we will quote it separately.

When does the trip actually run?

It leaves Hyderabad around 10:00 PM on Friday and gets you back early on Monday morning, so it costs you one working day at most. The overnight legs are on the bus in both directions.

What if the batch does not fill up?

A departure runs once at least 12 travellers have booked. If a batch does not reach that number we will offer you a private plan at the difference in cost, or move you to another date, or refund your advance in full. You will always hear from us well before the departure.

What kind of trip is this?

This is a budget-friendly backpacking trip, not a luxury tour. Everything is arranged to cover as much ground as the days allow, so travel times between places are longer than on a private trip and the stays are clean and simple rather than plush. If you want a slower pace or upgraded stays, ask us for the private version.

How does the room sharing work?

Prices are based on sharing in a homestay. For a double or triple room, check with us first, as a small additional cost may apply depending on what is free. During Diwali, Christmas and New Year, homestays fill up fast, so confirm at least 15 days ahead for those dates.

1Day 1 · Day 01: Bhadrachalam, waterfalls, valley views and bamboo chicken. · Meals: ·

Reach Bhadrachalam early and check into a short pit-stop stay, just long enough to freshen up.
Darshan at the Sitarama temple, then breakfast and on towards Maredumilli.
First stop the Sokuleru Vagu viewpoint.
On to Amruthadhara falls, where you can stand right under the water.
Manyam viewpoint for the forest panorama, then Jalatarangini falls.
By evening, check in at the homestay in the forest.
Dinner is the bamboo chicken this region is known for, followed by a quiet night under the trees.

2Day 2 · Day 02: Gudisa hill station, a 4x4 sunrise and forest goodbyes. · Meals: ·

An early start and a 4x4 jeep ride up to Gudisa hill station, through forest trails and offbeat roads.
Sunrise above the clouds.
On the way down, stops at the zig-zag road and an old metal bridge deep in the forest with a stream below.
Breakfast on the way, then back to the stay to freshen up and check out.
Polluru waterfalls, then the Pushpa Bridge and Forebay Dam, both well-known film locations.
Start back to Hyderabad.
