Everything is close, everything runs on time, and the MRT gets you across the island in half an hour. Sentosa is where most of the days go: Universal Studios, the aquarium, cable cars and beaches, all on one small island joined to the mainland. In the city, Gardens by the Bay's Supertrees light up after dark, Marina Bay Sands sits over the water at the top of the bay, and the older quarters — Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam — are each a short walk end to end. Jewel at Changi has an indoor waterfall and is worth arriving early for on the way home. The food runs from hawker centres, where a great meal costs very little, to some of the best restaurants in Asia. Trips run four to nine days, and many continue into Malaysia for Kuala Lumpur, Genting or Langkawi. All are private and planned around your dates.
