Araku and Lambasingi tour packages

The coffee valley at Araku, and Lambasingi across the hills — the one place in Andhra where December mornings come with frost on the fields.

Araku & Lambasingi Packages

Fixed-date group departures leave from Vizag and Hyderabad, and private Araku Valley trips are planned around your own dates from any city. By starting city: Araku and Lambasingi packages from Vizag · Araku and Lambasingi packages from Hyderabad · Araku and Lambasingi packages from Bangalore

Araku and Lambasingi packages at a glance

Araku and Lambasingi tour packages cost ₹5,499 to ₹13,499 per person for a 2 to 5 day trip, depending on the length, the season and whether you take a fixed-date group departure or a private trip.

  • Duration: 2, 3, 5 days; two days covers both at speed, three lets you sleep at Lambasingi for the frost.
  • Price: ₹5,499 to ₹13,499 per person, twin or triple sharing.
  • Route: Araku valley for the Borra caves, the coffee and the falls, and Lambasingi in the Chintapalli hills — the one place in Andhra where the temperature touches zero.
  • Travel: Visakhapatnam is the gateway: three hours to Araku, and Lambasingi across the Chintapalli hills beyond it.
  • Stay: a resort or homestay in Araku valley, and a cottage or tented camp at Lambasingi if you stay for the dawn.
  • Best time: December and January; Lambasingi is a cold-weather destination and nothing else.
  • Trip type: private trips planned around your dates.

Araku and Lambasingi 2 day package

2 days / 1 night from ₹5,499 per person.

Day one climbs from Visakhapatnam through the Borra caves into Araku: the coffee museum, Padmapuram and the tribal museum, with Dhimsa in the evening. Day two crosses to Lambasingi for Kothapalli falls and Thajangi reservoir, and back down the ghat.

1 plan: 2 Days Araku Lambasingi Bliss (2D/1N, from ₹5,499).

Araku and Lambasingi 5 day package

5 days / 4 nights from ₹13,499 per person.

The three-day plans sleep at Lambasingi so the frost and the Thajangi mist are seen at dawn rather than at noon, and add Vanjangi's cloud sea or Chaparai falls.

1 plan: 5 Days Vizag Araku Vanjangi Lambasingi Bliss (5D/4N, from ₹13,499).

Places you see on the Araku and Lambasingi trip

The two halves of the trip, in the order most itineraries run them.

  • Lambasingi at dawn: Called the Kashmir of Andhra: in December and January the temperature drops near zero and frost settles on the fields.
  • Kothapalli Waterfalls: A three-tier fall near Lambasingi, a short walk through coffee and pepper.
  • Thajangi Reservoir: A lake below Lambasingi that fills with mist at first light; the sunrise stop on the way out.
  • Borra Caves: Million-year-old limestone caverns with stalactites lit through the chamber, on the ghat road up to Araku.
  • Chaparai Waterfalls: A wide sheet of water over flat rock in Araku valley where you can walk in.
  • Araku coffee plantations and the coffee museum: The valley's own shade-grown coffee, with a tasting.
  • The tribal museum and Dhimsa dance: The museum at Araku with the Dhimsa performance in the evening.
  • Padmapuram Gardens: A botanical garden with the toy train and the tree-top huts.

Araku and Lambasingi trip cost

₹5,499 to ₹13,499 per person, and what moves it is the length, the season and the room. 2 days from ₹5,499, 3 days from ₹7,499, 5 days from ₹13,499.

What the price includes

  • Travel from the pick-up city and back on a group departure, or the car and driver on a private trip.
  • Stays on twin or triple sharing.
  • The meals named on the trip page, normally breakfast and dinner on a group departure.
  • Sightseeing as listed, and a Travloger trip captain on every group departure.

What it does not include

  • Entry at the Borra caves, the tribal museum and Padmapuram gardens.
  • Bonfires and any camp activity charged at the Lambasingi property.
  • Lunches on travel days, anything personal, and travel insurance.

Who this trip suits

Friends and solo travellers: every trip here is private, so a group of four to eight sets its own pace and splits the cost.

Couples and families: the valley half is gentle, and Lambasingi is a car journey rather than a climb. The one thing to plan for is the cold — December nights there genuinely drop near zero, which almost nobody packs for on an Andhra trip.

Best time to go, and getting to Araku and Lambasingi

Best time

  • December and January, 0 to 20°C: The reason to come: frost at Lambasingi, mist on Thajangi at dawn, and the valley cold and clear. Book weeks ahead — there are very few rooms.
  • November and February to March, 10 to 28°C: Cool and pleasant, easier to get a room, but no frost — Lambasingi is a hill town like any other outside the cold weeks.
  • April to October, 20 to 33°C: Warm, then the monsoon: the falls at their fullest and the coffee slopes green, with the cold-weather draw gone entirely.

Getting there

Visakhapatnam is the gateway for both. Araku is three hours up the ghat, and Lambasingi another three across the hills, or about three hours direct from the city through Narsipatnam.

Araku and Lambasingi: what travellers ask

October to March is the season: cool mornings, clear valley views and the best months for Vanjangi's sunrise. The monsoon from June to September turns the ghats green and the waterfalls full, with mist that can hide the views. April and May are warm but still cooler than the coast.

From people just like you

During this memorable trip, it wasn't merely a voyage but an enriching adventure shared with dear friends and family. The experience proved to be exceptionally comfortable, justifying every penny spent. Opting for this option was a decision I would have regretted not making, given the unparalleled comfort and joy it brought. A pivotal factor in this delightful journey was our travel guide, Deepika. Her remarkable care and attention to detail ensured that every moment was free of discomfort, making this expedition truly special.

Our Keral trip was good, it was a well organised and traveloger team took care of everything so well. However, our trip was during christmas and obviously all the places were crowed and roads were blocked. Also, it was informed to us that the places will be crowed. So, we had no expectations and had good vacation.
