Places to visit in Andaman
These are the places Andaman trips are built from. Each trip page lists exactly which of them it covers, and a private trip can swap one for another.
- Cellular Jail, Port Blair: The colonial prison where freedom fighters were held, now a national memorial, with a light and sound show in the evening.
- Radhanagar Beach, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep): A long white-sand beach backed by forest on the west coast of Havelock, known for its sunset.
- Elephant Beach, Havelock: Reached by boat or a forest walk, with a shallow reef for snorkelling and the island's water sports.
- Kalapathar Beach, Havelock: A quiet stretch on the east coast lined with black rocks, best early in the morning.
- Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): A small, flat island an hour by ferry from Havelock: Bharatpur and Laxmanpur beaches and the natural rock bridge at low tide.
- Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep): The ruined British headquarters a short boat ride from Port Blair, now overgrown by banyan roots.
- North Bay Island: The coral reef opposite Port Blair, done with Ross Island by boat, for snorkelling, a glass-bottom boat and a sea walk.
- Baratang Island: A long day trip north of Port Blair for the limestone caves, reached by a boat ride through mangrove creeks, and the mud volcano.
- Chidiya Tapu: The southern tip of South Andaman, about an hour from Port Blair, for bird life and the sunset.
