- RK Beach and the Kursura submarine: The city seafront with the INS Kursura museum, a real submarine you walk through, and the TU-142 aircraft museum beside it.
- Kailasagiri: A hilltop park reached by ropeway, with the Shiva-Parvati statue and the bay below.
- Rushikonda Beach: The swimming beach 8 km north, with water sports and the cleanest sand in the city.
- Simhachalam Temple: An 11th-century Varaha Narasimha temple on a hill, its deity covered in sandalwood all year.
- Yarada Beach: A quieter crescent beyond the Dolphin's Nose headland, 15 km south.
- Borra Caves and Araku: The caves and the valley inland, three hours up the ghat, on most Vizag itineraries.
- Bheemili and the Dutch cemetery: The old port town 25 km north where the Gosthani meets the sea.
- Kambalakonda: An eco-park and reserve on the city edge for a morning walk or a cycle.
