Day-wise plan
Every day runs on a private cab - the order and pace are yours to change.
1Day 1 - Trip begins at Pune - Pune to Bhimashankar, then Transfer to Nashik.
- Depart Pune around 6 AM and drive to the Bhimashankar Temple, a Jyotirlinga of Shiva in a Sahyadri wildlife sanctuary.
- Take darshan and soak in the forested hill setting, the source of the Bhima river.
- Continue the scenic drive to the holy city of Nashik.
- Check in and rest for the evening.
- Overnight stay in Nashik.
2Day 2 - Nashik Sightseeing, then Transfer to Aurangabad.
- After breakfast and check-out, drive to Trimbakeshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva.
- Visit the white-marble Muktidham Temple and the sacred Ram Kund on the Godavari.
- The Gondeshwar Temple at Sinnar can be added en route (optional).
- Continue to Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) and check in.
- Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
3Day 3 - Excursion to the Ajanta Caves.
- After an early breakfast, drive out to the UNESCO-listed Ajanta Caves.
- Explore the 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves and their 2,000-year-old murals.
- A licensed guide can be arranged at the caves (payable directly).
- Return to Aurangabad by evening (note: Ajanta is closed on Mondays).
- Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
4Day 4 - Trip ends at Pune - Ellora Caves & Grishneshwar, then Return to Pune.
- After breakfast and check-out, take darshan at the Grishneshwar Temple, the twelfth Jyotirlinga.
- Explore the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves, crowned by the monolithic Kailasa temple (closed on Tuesdays).
- Begin the drive back to Pune, arriving by around 10 PM.
- This marks the end of your trip with Travloger.
