Jaipur questions, answered

Not travelling from Jaipur? Can I still join?
Yes. The plan starts at Jaipur and you can reach it from any Indian city. Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur all have airports with daily flights and good train links, and Delhi is the usual gateway from abroad. Your travel up to the start point is not part of the price, and we will help you pick an arrival time that fits day one.
Is this a group departure or a private trip?
This is a private trip. Your own car and driver, your own dates and your own pace, with only your group on board. Nothing is shared with strangers and the route can be reshaped around you.
Are monument entry tickets included?
No. Fort and palace entry fees are paid on the spot and are not part of the package price, which is the normal arrangement across Rajasthan. We tell you the current rates for every monument on your route in advance so there are no surprises at the gate.
When is the best time for this trip?
October to March is the comfortable window, with cool days and cold desert nights, so pack layers. April to June is very hot in the desert and best avoided for long sightseeing days, while July to September brings light rain and the greenest landscapes.
Anything to know about Mount Abu?
Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan and sits at about 1,220 metres, so evenings are cool even in summer and cold from December to February. The Dilwara temples close to visitors in the morning hours reserved for worship and do not allow photography inside, leather items or shorts, so carry something that covers the knees.
What are the stops on the driving days?
The long drives are broken by a real stop rather than a tea stall. Depending on your route that is the Ranakpur Jain temple, the 351 foot Statue of Belief at Nathdwara, or Ajmer and Pushkar. These are working places of worship, so dress modestly, leave shoes and leather outside, and expect a short queue at busy times.
