Private, fully customisable Andaman trips - 5-day island breaks to 9-day Havelock, Neil and Baratang circuits.

7 days in Andaman: what travellers ask

October to May, with the calmest seas and clearest water from December to April. The south-west monsoon from June to September brings rough crossings and frequently cancelled ferries, which is the real problem rather than the rain itself.

From people just like you

During this memorable trip, it wasn't merely a voyage but an enriching adventure shared with dear friends and family. The experience proved to be exceptionally comfortable, justifying every penny spent. Opting for this option was a decision I would have regretted not making, given the unparalleled comfort and joy it brought. A pivotal factor in this delightful journey was our travel guide, Deepika. Her remarkable care and attention to detail ensured that every moment was free of discomfort, making this expedition truly special.

Our Keral trip was good, it was a well organised and traveloger team took care of everything so well. However, our trip was during christmas and obviously all the places were crowed and roads were blocked. Also, it was informed to us that the places will be crowed. So, we had no expectations and had good vacation.

  • Trip type: private trips planned around your dates and your group.

Places to visit in Andaman

These are the places Andaman trips are built from. Each trip page lists exactly which of them it covers, and a private trip can swap one for another.

  • Cellular Jail, Port Blair: The colonial prison where freedom fighters were held, now a national memorial, with a light and sound show in the evening.
  • Radhanagar Beach, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep): A long white-sand beach backed by forest on the west coast of Havelock, known for its sunset.
  • Elephant Beach, Havelock: Reached by boat or a forest walk, with a shallow reef for snorkelling and the island's water sports.
  • Kalapathar Beach, Havelock: A quiet stretch on the east coast lined with black rocks, best early in the morning.
  • Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): A small, flat island an hour by ferry from Havelock: Bharatpur and Laxmanpur beaches and the natural rock bridge at low tide.
  • Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep): The ruined British headquarters a short boat ride from Port Blair, now overgrown by banyan roots.
  • North Bay Island: The coral reef opposite Port Blair, done with Ross Island by boat, for snorkelling, a glass-bottom boat and a sea walk.
  • Baratang Island: A long day trip north of Port Blair for the limestone caves, reached by a boat ride through mangrove creeks, and the mud volcano.
  • Chidiya Tapu: The southern tip of South Andaman, about an hour from Port Blair, for bird life and the sunset.

A 5 day Andaman trip, day by day

Every trip is private, so the plan below is a starting point: the days, the hotels and the pace are set around you.

  • Day 1: land in Port Blair, Corbyn's Cove in the afternoon and the Cellular Jail with its evening light and sound show.
  • Day 2: the morning ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), check in, and Radhanagar Beach for the sunset.
  • Day 3: Elephant Beach by boat for snorkelling and water sports, with Kalapathar Beach in the afternoon.
  • Day 4: ferry to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) for Bharatpur beach, the natural bridge and Laxmanpur at sunset, or back to Port Blair for Ross and North Bay islands.
  • Day 5: the ferry back to Port Blair and the flight home.

Andaman trip cost and what the price covers

Andaman packages start at ₹26,000 per person: ₹26,000 for 7 days. That covers the stays, the local travel, the ferry tickets between the islands and the sightseeing each trip page lists. Flights to Port Blair are not included; you book them yourself.

The price moves most with the season and the ferry class: mid-December to early January and the long weekends cost the most, and May to September the least.

Andaman honeymoon and couple packages

The couple plans spend longer on Havelock and Neil, with beach resorts, a candlelight dinner and time left free rather than a full sightseeing day.

1 trip on this page, from ₹26,000 per person: 7 Days Andaman Honeymoon Bliss (7D/6N, from ₹26,000).

Andaman for friends, couples and families

Couples: 1 plan with the quieter stays and private transfers, from ₹26,000: 7 Days Andaman Honeymoon Bliss (7D/6N, from ₹26,000).

Families: 1 plan paced for children, from ₹46,436: 7 Days Andaman Family Bliss (7D/6N, from ₹46,436).

Best time to visit Andaman and how to reach

Best time

October to May is the season, with the calmest, clearest sea from December to April; mid-December to early January is the peak. June to September is the monsoon, when the sea is rough and ferries can be cancelled.

  • October to February, 23 to 30°C: The best window: calm sea, clear water for snorkelling and diving, and every ferry running. Mid-December to early January is the peak and costs the most.
  • March to May, 25 to 33°C: Hot and humid but the sea stays calm and visibility under water is at its best; quieter than the winter weeks.
  • June to September, 24 to 30°C: The monsoon: heavy rain, a rough sea, ferries that can be cancelled at short notice and water sports often suspended. The cheapest months, with that risk.

What to pack

Light cotton, swimwear, a hat and reef-safe sunscreen; sandals that can get wet for the ferries and beaches; something covering shoulders and knees for the Cellular Jail memorial; a light rain jacket from May to November; a photo ID for every traveller, which the ferries and the airport ask for.

Getting there

From Hyderabad, fly to Port Blair: there are non-stop flights of about two and a half hours on some days, and one-stop flights through Chennai or Bengaluru otherwise.

From Bengaluru, Port Blair is a non-stop flight of about two and a half hours.

From Chennai, Port Blair is a non-stop flight of a little over two hours, the shortest from the mainland along with Kolkata.

Permits and fees

Indian citizens need no permit for Port Blair, Havelock, Neil or Baratang, only a government photo ID. The road to Baratang crosses the Jarawa tribal reserve: vehicles travel in convoy, and stopping or taking photographs inside the reserve is an offence.

Andaman or Goa?

Andaman or Goa? The Andamans have the clearer water, the coral and the emptier beaches, and suit snorkelling, a first scuba dive and a quiet honeymoon; it needs a flight and at least five days. Goa is easier and cheaper to reach, works in two or three days, and has the nightlife, forts and churches the islands do not.
