1Day 1 - Trip begins at Chennai - Chennai arrival, drive to Tirupati (140 km, about 4 hrs)
- Meet at Chennai airport or station and drive to Tirupati, check in at the hotel
- Proceed for darshan at Tirumala, 17 km up the seven hills, home of the Sri Venkateswara shrine, among the most visited temples anywhere
- Darshan tickets must be pre-booked online
- Optional with an extra night: Adi Varaha Swami Temple, Dhwajastambham, Sri Venkateswara Museum, Chandragiri Fort, Srikalahasti temple
- Night in Tirupati
2Day 2 - Vellore Golden Temple en route to Kanchipuram (185 km, about 5 hrs)
- Drive via Vellore to see the Golden Temple in the Sripuram spiritual park at Thirumalaikodi village, set against green hills about 8 km from town
- Continue to Kanchipuram, check in and refresh
- Visit the ancient Kamakshi Amman Temple, dedicated to a form of Goddess Parvati, and the Vishnu shrine of Ulagalantha Perumal
- Optional: Ratnagiri Murugan temple and Vellore Fort Museum, or Varadharaja Perumal, Kanchi Kailasanathar and Kanchi Kudil
- Night in Kanchipuram
3Day 3 - On to Pondicherry for a full day (120 km, about 4 hrs)
- Morning drive to Pondicherry and hotel check-in
- Full-day tour: Matrimandir at the centre of Auroville, the Auroville township itself, the old Chola port site of Arikamedu, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Promenade Beach and Sri Aurobindo Ashram
- Optional: Serenity Beach, water sports at Paradise Beach, scuba at Karaikal
- Night in Pondicherry
4Day 4 - Mahabalipuram monuments on the way to Chennai (190 km, about 5 hrs)
- Drive north with a full sightseeing halt at Mahabalipuram: Five Rathas, the late 7th-century rock-cut Mahishasuramardini Mandapa cave near the lighthouse, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Shore Temple and the beach
- Continue to Chennai and check in
- Night in Chennai
5Day 5 - Trip ends at Chennai - Chennai city round and departure
- Visit the 7th-century Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Vivekananda Illam (the former ice house where Swami Vivekananda stayed in 1897), Government Museum and Fort Museum
- Drive past Marina Beach and San Thome Church
- Airport drop to end the trip
- Optional with an extra night: Guindy National Park, Anna Zoological Park, Dakshinachitra, Theosophical Society, T Nagar shopping
