Day-wise plan
Every day runs on a private cab - the order and pace are yours to change.
1Day 1 - Trip begins at Cochin - Arrival & Drive
- Met at Cochin, you drive up to Munnar through spice plantations and the ghat-road waterfalls.
- Check in and take the evening slowly at altitude.
- Dinner at the stay and your first night in the hills.
2Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing
- A full Munnar day: Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and the tea estates that run to the horizon.
- Then Eravikulam, where the Nilgiri tahr come within a few metres of the path.
- Dinner and a second night in Munnar.
3Day 3 - Wildlife & Culture
- Drive from Munnar to Thekkady after breakfast, into spice country.
- Take the Periyar safari, then the evening Kalaripayattu performance.
- Dinner and overnight at Thekkady.
4Day 4 - Backwater Cruise
- Down from Thekkady to Alleppey to board your luxury houseboat, with lunch aboard as you cast off.
- An afternoon on the Vembanad canals and a mooring for the night; all meals on board are included.
5Day 5 - Cliffs & Coast
- A sunrise cruise, then disembark and drive south to Varkala.
- Check in to the clifftop retreat, where the red cliffs drop straight to the Arabian Sea.
- Dinner at the stay and overnight above the beach.
6Day 6 - Beaches & Calm
- Visit the Jatayu Earth Centre, built around an enormous sculpture of the bird from the Ramayana, reached by cable car.
- Carry on to Kovalam and its golden beaches, with the lighthouse at one end.
- Dinner and overnight on the coast.
7Day 7 - Trip ends at Trivandrum - Temple & Departure
- Stop at the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum on the way out — the dress code is strict and phones are not allowed inside, so leave them in the car.
- Your driver takes you on to Trivandrum for your departure.
