Lucknow questions, answered

Not travelling from Lucknow? Can I still join?
Yes. The plan starts at Lucknow and you can reach it from any Indian city. Lucknow and Varanasi both have airports and are well served by trains, and Ayodhya is now on the rail and air map too. Your travel up to the start point is not part of the price, and we will help you pick the right arrival time.
Is this a group departure or a private trip?
This is a private trip. Your own car and driver, your own dates and your own pace, with only your family or group on board. Temple queues and the evening aarti are shared with every other visitor, because that is the nature of the place, but nothing else is.
How does darshan at the Ram Mandir work?
Entry is free and slots are managed by the temple trust, with security checks at the gate. Phones, bags and leather items are not allowed inside and there are lockers outside. Queues are longest on weekends and festival days, so we start early and keep the morning flexible.
What should I know about Kashi Vishwanath and the Ganga aarti?
The Vishwanath corridor has its own security queue and phones are not permitted in the sanctum. The evening aarti at Dashashwamedh starts around dusk and fills up well before, so we get you there early or take a boat, which is the calmer view of it.
When is the best time for this trip?
October to March is the comfortable window, with cool mornings that suit long temple days. April to June is very hot across the plains, and the monsoon brings a high Ganga, which can shorten or stop the boat rides at Varanasi.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. Cities can be added or dropped, nights rebalanced, and stays upgraded. Tell us if you are travelling with elderly parents and we will shorten the walking and time the darshan around the queues. Send an enquiry with your dates and group size.
