1Day 1 · Day 01: Into the backwaters. · Meals: ·
- Arrive at Kochi airport before noon, and drive into Alleppey, about 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Step aboard a private day cruise through the backwaters.
- A freshly made local lunch served on board as you go.
- The evening is yours: watch the sun go down, or try a few light activities by the water. Dinner on board.
- Overnight on a premium houseboat.
2Day 2 · Day 02: The cliffs of Varkala. · Meals: ·
- Wake to the water and birdsong, then breakfast.
- Drive on to Varkala, about 3 hours 30 minutes.
- Check in at a cliffside property looking out over the Arabian Sea, with its own stretch of beach.
- Head down to the black sand beach and up onto the North Cliff.
- Browse the flea markets, and pick a cliff cafe for dinner.
3Day 3 · Day 03: Jatayu Earth Centre and a cafe on the cliff. · Meals: ·
- A walk along the beach to start, with optional sunrise kayaking on a lake nearby.
- After breakfast, the Jatayu Earth Centre, home to the world’s largest bird sculpture and a long view over the country.
- In the afternoon, the South Cliff, the quieter end of Varkala.
- Wind down at a cliffside cafe, then a gathering under the stars.
4Day 4 · Day 04: Towards Trivandrum, and a quiet goodbye. · Meals: ·
- Breakfast, check out, and head for Thiruvananthapuram, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
- An optional stop at the Padmanabhaswamy temple, which closes to visitors at 10:00 AM.
- On to the airport, with a last look at the Kerala coast on the way.
