1Day 1 · Day 01: Base city to Wayanad, Banasura Sagar and Pookode Lake. · Meals: ·
- Morning arrival at the base city, Bangalore or Mysore.
- Freshen up at the station or a breakfast stop nearby.
- Drive towards Wayanad, about 4 hours from Mysore or 6 from Bangalore, on the scenic Bandipur forest route.
- Banasura Sagar Dam, set among the Banasura hills in the Western Ghats.
- Water activities such as speed boating, kayaking and coracle rides, weather permitting.
- Lunch near the dam. Food options in this area are limited.
- Pookode Lake and the Lakkidi viewpoint for the evening.
- Late check-in at the stay, dinner and rest.
2Day 2 · Day 02: Wayanad: waterfalls, the longest zipline and 900 Kandi. · Meals: ·
- A local breakfast to start the day.
- Soochipara or Kanthampara waterfalls first, because entry is capped at 1,200 visitors a day and tickets are bought in a queue on arrival.
- On to the adventure zone: India’s longest zipline, the giant swing, sky cycle and ATV rides, around a tea plantation walk. All optional and subject to tickets and weather.
- Lunch at a local restaurant. Food options in this region are limited.
- After lunch, 900 Kandi for the off-road jeep ride and the glass bridge over the Wayanad ranges.
- Back at the stay by late evening, with storytelling and indoor games rather than loud music after 10:00 PM.
- A hot vegetarian dinner, and rest.
3Day 3 · Day 03: Wayanad to Madikeri: Mandalpatti, Abbey Falls and Raja’s Seat. · Meals: ·
- 6:00 AM checkout and on to Coorg, about 3 hours 30 minutes, with breakfast on the way.
- First stop Mandalpatti: rugged 4x4 jeeps along forest trails up to one of the best viewpoints in Karnataka. The jeep charge is paid on the spot.
- Down into Madikeri town for lunch. Options are limited, so go with the flow.
- Abbey Waterfalls, where the water drops 70 feet into a pool that joins the Cauvery.
- Raja’s Seat for Coorg’s golden sunset over the valley.
- A quick shopping stop in Madikeri before heading back to the stay.
4Day 4 · Day 04: Kushalnagar: the Golden Temple, the elephant camp and goodbyes. · Meals: ·
- Start with an estate walk through the coffee, then a hearty breakfast.
- Harangi Elephant Camp, for time with the elephants.
- After lunch, the Namdroling Monastery, the Golden Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist centre known for its architecture and its calm.
- If there is time, an optional stop at Nisargadhama bird park.
- Board the ride back as the sun goes down.
