Andhra Pradesh is the short-break state for anyone starting from Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam, and the Araku valley is the reason most people go. The train or the road up from Vizag climbs through the Eastern Ghats into coffee country — hill slopes, tribal villages, a coffee museum and the Borra caves on the way, limestone chambers lit up a long way underground. It is green, unhurried, and a completely different climate to the coast below. Vizag itself gives you the beaches, the submarine museum on the sand and the long drive round the Kailasagiri hill. Further east the routes cross into Odisha, where Puri's temple and beach make a natural extension. Our Andhra trips are the shortest of any hub we run — one day to five — because most of them are weekends and long weekends rather than holidays. All are private and customisable, so a two-day Araku run and a five-day coast-and-Odisha loop are both simply routes we build for your dates.
