Day-wise plan
Every day runs on a private cab - the order and pace are yours to change.
1Day 1 - Trip begins at Delhi - Delhi to Haridwar, temples and the evening aarti
- Your cab picks you up in north Delhi and drives you up to Haridwar.
- Check in and take a short rest before heading out.
- Visit Chandi Devi Temple on Neel Parvat and Mansa Devi on the hill above town, both with wide views over the river.
- Continue to the old Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple and to Vaishno Devi.
- In the evening watch the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri, then return to your hotel.
2Day 2 - On to Rishikesh and its ghats and ashrams
- Check out and take the short drive along the river to Rishikesh.
- Check in and rest before the afternoon walk about.
- Cross Ram Jhula, the suspension bridge with a fine view up and down the Ganga.
- Visit Sivananda Ashram, Parmarth Niketan and Geeta Bhawan at an unhurried pace.
- Stay on for the riverside aarti in the evening before driving back to the hotel.
3Day 3 - A day at Shivpuri for the river and the adventure belt
- Your cab takes you out to Shivpuri, the stretch of river where the rafting camps sit.
- White water rafting on the Ganga is the main draw and is paid on the spot.
- Bungee jumping and zip lining are also run in this area, again at your own cost.
- The rest of the day is open, so you can simply sit by the water if you would rather not raft.
- Drive back to Rishikesh for the night.
4Day 4 - Trip ends at Delhi - Drive back to Delhi
- Check out after breakfast.
- Your cab takes you back down to Delhi.
- Drop at Majnu Ka Tilla or Kashmiri Gate, where the trip ends.
