Day-wise plan
Every day runs on a private cab - the order and pace are yours to change.
1Day 1 - Trip begins at Delhi - Delhi to Rishikesh, pausing at Haridwar for the aarti
- Your cab picks you up in north Delhi and heads for the hills.
- Break the drive at Haridwar, where you can see Vaishno Devi Mandir with its cave passage and the old Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple.
- In the evening go down to Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga aarti, with lamps set afloat on the river.
- Carry on the short distance to Rishikesh and check in.
- Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
2Day 2 - Rishikesh sights and rafting on the Ganga
- Start with Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, the two suspension bridges over the river.
- Visit the Beatles Ashram, where the band stayed and wrote through their time in India.
- Neelkanth Temple sits up in the hills above town and can be added if you set out early.
- Head to the Shivpuri stretch for a 9 km rafting run, ticket included.
- If there is time left, browse the markets or catch the Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat before returning to the hotel.
3Day 3 - Up to Mussoorie for the hill station sights
- Check out and drive up to Mussoorie, gaining height through pine forest most of the way.
- Check in and rest before setting out again.
- Visit Kempty Falls, the wide cascade the town is known for.
- Walk up through the trees to Gun Hill and Lal Tibba for views of the snow line.
- Round off with the Company Garden and Camel's Back Road, then back to the hotel.
4Day 4 - Trip ends at Delhi - Drive back to Delhi
- Check out after breakfast.
- Your cab takes you down from the hills and back to Delhi.
- Drop at Majnu Ka Tilla or Kashmiri Gate, where the trip ends.
