1Day 1 - Trip begins at Guwahati - Guwahati to Shillong (3 Hours) | Into the Abode of Clouds
- Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and begin your scenic drive to Shillong around late morning.
- Pause at the tranquil Umiam Lake, where you can choose to enjoy a peaceful boating experience on the vast, glassy waters.
- Check into your hotel and let the day slow down - explore nearby markets at your own pace if you wish.
2Day 2 - Explore the Scotland of the East - Shillong Sightseeing
- After breakfast, visit the iconic Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays), followed by a relaxing stroll around Ward's Lake.
- Explore the lush greenery at the Shillong Botanical Garden and the beautifully landscaped Lady Hydari Park.
- Later, proceed to Laitlum Canyons for breathtaking panoramic views of Meghalaya's rolling hills and valleys.
- Spend your evening at leisure exploring local cafes or markets.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
3Day 3 - Shillong to Cherrapunjee via Mawlynnong & Dawki
- After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong Village (closed on Sundays), famously known as the cleanest village in Asia. This charming and colorful hamlet, located about 90 km from Shillong, is celebrated for its immaculate surroundings and community-driven cleanliness.
- Explore highlights like the Living Root Bridge (closed on Sundays) and witness the unique natural phenomenon of a balancing rock.
- Later, continue to Dawki, situated along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
- Here, enjoy a serene boating experience on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, known for its stunning transparency.
- By evening, proceed to Cherrapunjee. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
- Note: Dawki is famous for its crystal-clear waters, but the visibility depends on weather and natural conditions. At times, the water may not appear as clear, which is beyond our control.
4Day 4 - Cherrapunjee to Guwahati - Sightseeing & Transfer
- Approx Distance: 160 km, Est. Travel Time: 6 hrs.
- After breakfast, check out from your hotel and soak in the mesmerizing morning views of Cherrapunjee.
- Continue to the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, & Seven Sisters Falls known for its dramatic multi-stream cascade.
- Visit Garden of Caves & later, drive towards Guwahati, enjoying scenic views en route including the breathtaking Mawdok Valley.
- Upon arrival in Guwahati, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
5Day 5 - Guwahati - Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple (Timings: 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM & 03:00 PM till evening), one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India.
- Continue to Tirupati Balaji Temple Guwahati, followed by Nabagraha Temple, dedicated to the nine celestial bodies.
- Visit the Assam State Museum (closed on Mondays) to explore the region's rich heritage, and the Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden (closed on Fridays), one of the largest zoos in the Northeast.
- You can also explore the Regional Science Centre Guwahati for an interactive experience.
- Later, visit Sukreswar Temple, known for housing one of the oldest Shiva shrines.
- In the evening, you may opt for a scenic river cruise (direct payment) on the mighty Brahmaputra River.
6Day 6 - Trip ends at Guwahati - Farewell from the Hills (departure from Guwahati)
- In the morning, Breakfast & check out.
- Continue to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport / Guwahati Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying home memories of the Abode of Clouds.
