1Day 1 - Trip begins at Guwahati - Guwahati to Kaziranga (4.5 Hours) | Into the wild side
- Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and begin your journey towards Kaziranga National Park.
- Drive through scenic countryside to reach the wilderness.
- Check into your hotel or homestay and unwind.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure, easing into the rhythm of the wild.
- Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
2Day 2 - Kaziranga Jeep Safari & Towards Shillong (6 Hours)
- Begin your morning with an exciting jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park, where you may spot the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, wild buffalo, and vibrant birdlife.
- After the safari, return to your hotel, 11 AM check out, and drive towards Shillong.
- Pause at the serene Umiam Lake - you can opt for a peaceful boating experience on its glassy waters.
- Check into your hotel and unwind; explore nearby markets at your own pace if you wish.
- Overnight stay in Shillong, as the cool hill air sets the tone for the days ahead.
3Day 3 - Shillong to Cherrapunji (2 Hours) | Valleys, Waterfalls & Caves
- After breakfast, journey into the misty landscapes of Cherrapunji (Sohra).
- Pause at Mawkdok Viewpoint and admire the sweeping valley views.
- Explore the hidden wonders of the Garden of Caves.
- Witness the dramatic drop of Nohkalikai Falls and the cascading beauty of Seven Sisters Falls.
- If time allows, step into the mystical Mawsmai Cave.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji, wrapped in mist and quiet.
4Day 4 - Tyrna's Living Root Bridge Trek | Into the living Forest
- Begin your morning with a drive to Tyrna Village, the gateway to Meghalaya's most iconic trek.
- Descend nearly 3,500 steps through lush rainforest trails to Nongriat Village.
- Marvel at the legendary Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a true natural masterpiece.
- If you wish to go further, trek about an hour to the serene Blue Lagoon.
- Continue another 45 minutes to the stunning Rainbow Falls (full extension of trek depends on time & your pace - start early to cover all).
- Return to Tyrna and drive back for an overnight stay in Cherrapunji, resting after a rewarding day in nature.
5Day 5 - Cherrapunji to Dawki via Mawlynnong (5 Hours) | Rivers, Roots & Borderlands
- After breakfast, journey to Mawlynnong, once celebrated as Asia's cleanest village.
- Stroll through the charming lanes and local spots of the village.
- Walk the bamboo trail up to the Sky View Point Mawlynnong for sweeping views of the Bangladesh plains.
- Take a 15 mins short trek to the century-old Riwai Living Root Bridge (Single decker living root bridge).
- Drive onward towards Dawki, passing along stretches of the India-Bangladesh Border.
- Witness the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, where boats appear to float on air.
- Overnight stay in Dawki.
6Day 6 - Dawki to Shillong | Waterfalls & Canyon Skies
- Check out and head to Shnongpdeng for a dose of adventure.
- Enjoy optional activities like kayaking, cliff jumping, snorkeling (at own expense).
- Continue your scenic drive to Shillong.
- En route, take a short 20 minutes hike to the stunning Krang Suri Waterfalls, where you can step into the refreshing turquoise pool, enjoy the waters, and get delightfully drenched amidst the forest.
- Walk along the dramatic ridgelines of Laitlum Canyon, soaking in panoramic views of endless hills and valleys.
- Arrive in Shillong, check into your hotel, and unwind with an overnight stay.
7Day 7 - Trip ends at Guwahati - Shillong to Guwahati | Farewell from the Hills
- In the morning, check out and proceed towards Guwahati.
- You may choose to visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple (optional) to seek blessings before departure.
- Continue to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport / Guwahati Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying home memories of the Abode of Clouds.
