A Dubai trip from India costs between ₹75,000 and ₹1,20,000 per person for five days in 2026, once the flight, the visa, the hotel, the tickets and the spending money are all counted. Most of the guides you will read quote only the package or only the hotel. This one adds up the whole thing, line by line, at September 2026 prices, so the number you plan with is the number you will actually spend.

Flights: ₹20,000 to ₹45,000 return
The flight is the line that swings most. From Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai a non-stop return in economy sits around ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 from February to November, and ₹35,000 to ₹45,000 across the Christmas to New Year fortnight. IndiGo and Air India Express are the cheapest non-stop carriers; Emirates costs ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 more and includes a 30 kg bag and meals. Air Arabia to Sharjah is often the cheapest of all, and Sharjah is 30 minutes from Deira by road.
Two rules save real money: book six to eight weeks ahead for December and Sankranti, and fly mid-week. A Tuesday departure is routinely ₹3,000 cheaper than a Friday one on the same airline. Flight times and airlines for each city are on the Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai pages.
Visa: ₹7,500 to ₹9,500
A 30-day single-entry UAE tourist visa costs about ₹7,500 to ₹9,500 all in through an agent or airline in September 2026; the government fee is AED 252 plus VAT and the rest is processing. It is issued as a PDF in three to four working days. Indians holding a valid US, UK, EU, Canadian, Australian, Japanese, Singaporean or Korean visa or residence permit, or a US green card, get a 14-day visa on arrival and skip this line. Hotel and the package: what ₹35,500 buys
The hotel is the biggest line after the flight, and it is where the saving, comfortable and five-star trips part ways. A three-star in Deira or Bur Dubai is ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 a night in season; a four-star in Downtown or the Marina ₹8,000 to ₹14,000; a Palm or Jumeirah beach resort ₹15,000 to ₹40,000.
A land package bundles the hotel with the airport transfers, a private car for the sightseeing days and the main tickets, which is why the ₹35,500 five-day plan works out cheaper than booking the same pieces alone: four nights at ₹5,000 is ₹20,000, transfers and a car for three days ₹8,000, the Burj Khalifa and desert safari tickets ₹10,000, and you are already past the package price before the guide and the WhatsApp planner are counted.
Tickets: the line you control
Every attraction in Dubai has a price, and choosing which ones to pay for is the real budgeting decision. At about ₹26 to one dirham in September 2026:
- Burj Khalifa, At the Top, levels 124 and 125: AED 169 to 240, ₹4,400 to ₹6,200. Sunset slots cost the most.
- Evening desert safari with dune driving, camel ride and barbecue dinner: AED 150 to 250 shared, ₹3,900 to ₹6,500.
- Museum of the Future: AED 149 to 159, about ₹4,000. Sells out two weeks ahead.
- Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis: about AED 320, ₹8,300.
- Dubai Frame: AED 50, ₹1,300. Global Village: AED 25 to 30. Miracle Garden: about AED 100. The abra boat across the creek: AED 1.
- Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi: about AED 350, ₹9,000, plus the day trip.
The free list is long: Jumeirah beach and the Burj Al Arab view, the Dubai Fountain show every half hour from 6 pm, the old Al Fahidi quarter, the gold and spice souks, the Marina walk, the Palm boardwalk and the Dubai Mall itself. A saving trip pays for two tickets, the Burj Khalifa and the desert, and does the rest free.
Food and getting around: ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 a day
Karama and Deira are full of South Indian and North Indian restaurants at AED 15 to 30 a head, which is a Hyderabad price. A mall food court is AED 30 to 45; a sit-down dinner at the Marina or Downtown AED 100 to 200 before drinks. A metro day pass is about AED 20 to 25 and reaches Downtown, the Marina, the Mall of the Emirates and the airport; a 15-minute taxi is AED 20 to 30. Water and snacks cost supermarket prices at a Carrefour and hotel prices in the minibar.
Plan ₹2,000 a day for a metro-and-Karama trip, ₹3,500 for a mix of taxis and mall meals, and ₹5,000 or more for the Marina dinners.
Costs people forget
- Travel insurance: ₹600 to ₹1,200 for a week; some visa processors require it.
- Forex card loading and ATM fees: budget 1 to 2 percent of what you spend.
- Tourism dirham: hotels add AED 7 to 20 per room per night at check-out, depending on the star rating. It is in our package price.
- Tips: not compulsory, but AED 5 to 10 for the safari driver and the transfer driver is usual.
- Roaming: an airport SIM with data is AED 50 to 100; an eSIM bought at home is cheaper.

How to bring the number down
- Travel in November, late January to February, or the summer. The same hotel is 30 to 50 percent cheaper than in the December fortnight, and the flight is half.
- Stay in Deira or Bur Dubai and take the metro. Downtown is 20 minutes away and the old city is on your doorstep.
- Pick two paid tickets and do the rest free. The fountain show is free; the Burj Khalifa at sunset is the one splurge worth it.
- Eat one meal a day in Karama.
- Travel as four: a private car and a family room split four ways bring the per-person package close to the saving band.
