Places to visit in Singapore

Four days covers Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, a city tour and one Sentosa day; five days adds Universal Studios and the Night Safari without a rushed day; six days fits a second Sentosa day or a short cruise; seven days is where Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands, Bali or a longer cruise come in, and nine days reaches Langkawi as well.
- Marina Bay Sands SkyPark: The observation deck on top of the three towers, with the bay, the Supertrees and the skyline below; the infinity pool is for hotel guests only.
- Gardens by the Bay: The Supertree Grove with its free light show at night, and the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories, which are ticketed.
- Universal Studios Singapore: The theme park on Sentosa: Transformers, Battlestar Galactica and the Minions; one full day.
- Sentosa: The resort island reached by cable car or monorail: the S.E.A. Aquarium, Siloso beach, the Skyline Luge and the Wings of Time show at night.
- Night Safari and Singapore Zoo: The open-air zoo by day and the world's first night-time wildlife park after dark, on the same Mandai site as Bird Paradise and River Wonders.
- Jewel Changi: The Rain Vortex, the tallest indoor waterfall in the world, inside the airport complex; easy on arrival or before the flight home.
- Merlion Park and the Marina Bay walk: The half-lion, half-fish statue spouting into the bay, and the loop past the Esplanade, the Helix Bridge and the ArtScience Museum.
- Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam: The three old quarters: the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Serangoon Road and its Indian food, and the Sultan Mosque on Arab Street.
- Clarke Quay and the river cruise: The riverside of bars and restaurants, and the bumboat cruise past the old warehouses to Marina Bay.
- Singapore Flyer: The 165-metre observation wheel beside the F1 pit building, a 30-minute rotation with the whole city in view.
- Orchard Road: The shopping street of malls end to end, and the Christmas lights from November.
