Spiti Valley trip cost and what the price covers
Spiti Valley packages start at ₹16,999 per person: ₹23,800 for 7 days, ₹16,999 for 8 days and ₹30,499 for 9 days. That covers the stays, the local travel, the sightseeing and activities each trip page lists; the journey from your city is quoted with the trip so you can pick the train, bus or flight.
What moves the price is the season, the stay category (homestay, guesthouse or hotel), the car or tempo traveller and the group size. A group departure shares the vehicle and the rooms, which is why it starts lowest; a private or self-drive trip prices the car for your group. The journey to Delhi or Chandigarh and anything not named on the trip page stay out of the fare, so the number you see is the number you pay.

- Stay: homestays and guesthouses in Kaza and the villages, with a hotel in Shimla or Kinnaur on the way in; simple and warm rather than luxurious.
- Best time: Mid-May to mid-October is the season for the full loop, and June to September is when both roads, from Shimla and from Manali over the Kunzum pass, are usually open and Chandratal can be reached.
- Weather: Spiti is a high cold desert: Kaza sits at about 3,650 m, the villages above it higher still.
