1Day 1 · Delhi to Shimla by overnight busOvernight bus
- Meet at the Delhi boarding point, shared a day before.
- AC semi-sleeper leaves between 7 and 11:30 pm for the overnight run to Shimla.
2Day 2 · Shimla to Sangla via Kufri and the Kinnaur gateMeals: Dinner · Sangla hotel
- Reach Shimla by 9 am and switch to the tempo traveller.
- Kufri, Narkanda and the Kinnaur gate on the way into the Sutlej gorge.
- Check in at Sangla by evening. Briefing, dinner and overnight.
3Day 3 · Chitkul, Khab sangam and NakoMeals: Breakfast, dinner · Nako homestay
- Morning at Chitkul, the last village of India, and the Mathi temple.
- Momos at the last dhaba, a walk by the Baspa river.
- Drive past the Khab confluence to Nako village and its frozen lake.
- Dinner and overnight in a homestay at Nako or Tabo.
4Day 4 · Tabo, Dhankar, Lingti and Pin Valley to KazaMeals: Breakfast, dinner · Kaza homestay
- Climb the Ka loops to Tabo. The 1,000-year-old monastery and meditation caves.
- Dhankar Monastery, the old capital of Spiti, on its cliff.
- The frozen Lingti waterfall and a look into Pin Valley National Park.
- Reach Kaza by evening. Dinner and overnight.

- Key Monastery above the frozen Spiti river.
- Chicham bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia.
- Evening free in Kaza market. Dinner and overnight.

- Post a card from Hikkim, the highest post office in the world.
- Komic, the highest village with a motorable road, and the Langza Buddha with its fossil fields.
- Back to Kaza for dinner and the night.
7Day 7 · Kaza to Kalpa via GueMeals: Breakfast, dinner · Kalpa hotel
- Early checkout and the drive back down the valley.
- Gue Monastery and its 500-year-old mummy.
- Reach Kalpa under Kinnaur Kailash. Dinner and overnight.
8Day 8 · Kalpa cliff point, Shimla and the bus homeMeals: Breakfast · Overnight bus
- The cliff point at Roghi village, then the long drive to Shimla.
- Board the AC semi-sleeper for Delhi in the evening.
9Day 9 · Arrive Delhi
- Reach Delhi between 5 and 9 am. Book onward travel after noon.
