1Day 1 - Trip begins at Colombo - Arrive in Colombo, elephant sanctuary stop, drive to Dambulla
- Airport pick up on landing in Sri Lanka and a scenic drive inland towards Dambulla
- Break the drive at the elephant orphanage at Pinnawala to watch the rescued herd being fed and bathed
- Continue to Dambulla, check in and rest for the night
2Day 2 - Day excursion to Sigiriya
- Morning drive to the Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO listed site
- Climb the rock cut stairway past the frescoes and the lion paw gateway for wide views over forest and village country
- Walk the old royal water gardens and stone carvings, then return to Dambulla
3Day 3 - Drive to Nuwara Eliya with Kandy sightseeing en route
- Check out and drive south, pausing in Kandy for a half day of sightseeing
- See the hilltop Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha statue and its views over the city
- Walk the botanical gardens at Peradeniya, home to several thousand plant species, and the palm lined avenue
- Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic before carrying on to Nuwara Eliya and checking in
4Day 4 - Full day sightseeing around Nuwara Eliya
- Begin at the Hanuman temple, one of the local Ramayana linked shrines
- Stop at Ramboda Falls and the Seetha Amman Kovil
- Stroll the Hakgala botanical gardens and Victoria Park
- Finish at Gregory Lake, where boating can be added at your own cost
5Day 5 - Transfer to Colombo and city sightseeing
- Drive to the capital, check in and settle
- Head out for a city tour taking in the Lotus Tower and its skyline views
- See the Gangaramaya Buddhist temple and its mix of old and modern design
- Visit the Pettah floating market and other city sights, entry tickets payable directly
6Day 6 - Trip ends at Colombo - Departure
- Check out after breakfast
- Private transfer to Colombo airport for the flight home
