1Day 1 - Trip begins at Colombo - Arrive in Colombo, elephant orphanage stop, on to Kandy
- Airport pickup and drive towards Kandy
- Stop at the Pinnawala elephant orphanage to see the rescued herd
- Check in, then a drive along Kandy Lake
- Evening Kandyan dance performance
2Day 2 - Full day around Kandy
- Browse the crafts centre for handmade souvenirs and see the gem museum
- Walk the royal botanical gardens and a working spice garden
- Visit the orchid house
- Pay respects at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
3Day 3 - Up to Nuwara Eliya and a city tour
- Check out and drive into the tea hills, then check in
- Visit Seetha Eliya, tied to the Ramayana story, and the Hakgala gardens
- See Victoria Park and try boating on Gregory Lake
- Stop at Ramboda Falls and the Hanuman temple
4Day 4 - Down to Bentota via Edinburgh viewpoint and Kithulgala
- Pause at the Edinburgh viewpoint over mist covered hills
- Continue through Kithulgala, where rafting on the Kelani river is available at extra cost
- Arrive in Bentota and check in
- Rest of the day free
5Day 5 - Madu river and the turtle hatchery
- Morning at the Madu river, with an optional boat safari at extra cost
- Mangrove forest and wetland scenery with a chance of wildlife sightings
- Visit the Kosgoda turtle hatchery and its release programme
- Return to the hotel
6Day 6 - Excursion to Galle and Mirissa
- Start at the colonial era Dutch Reformed Church
- Explore the Dutch fort and its lighthouse
- See the maritime museum and the Meera mosque
- Finish at Mirissa beach and the view from Coconut Tree Hill
7Day 7 - Move to Colombo and see the city
- Drive to Colombo and check in
- Visit the oceanfront Galle Face Green and the Gangaramaya temple
- Walk through the colonial buildings of Colombo Fort and see the Lotus Tower
- Cross the suspension bridge and visit the floating market
8Day 8 - Trip ends at Colombo - Departure
- Check out of the Colombo hotel
- Airport transfer for the flight home
