Sri Lanka questions, answered

Which Indian city do I fly from?
Any of them. Colombo is a short hop from Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi and Hyderabad, and the flight from south India is under two hours. International airfare is not part of this price, so you can book the routing that suits you and we will match the plan to your arrival time.
Is this a group departure or a private trip?
This is a private trip. Your own car and chauffeur for the whole route, your own dates and only your own group. Nothing is shared with strangers and the day plan can be reshaped around you.
Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Sri Lanka?
Indian nationals need an ETA, applied for online before travel and normally approved within a day or two. You need a passport valid for at least six months and proof of onward travel. The ETA fee is not included in this price. Rules change, so we confirm the current position for your dates.
What is the best time to make this trip?
The island has two monsoons on opposite coasts, so there is almost always somewhere dry. December to March suits the west and south coasts and the cultural triangle, while May to September is better for the east. The hill country is cool and can be misty all year.
Is the hill country train ride included?
The scenic stretch between the tea towns is one of the best rail journeys anywhere and we can seat you on it. Reserved seats are limited and sell out well in advance, so tell us early; otherwise the same route runs by private car and your driver meets you at the far end.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. Days can be added or dropped, beach and hill nights rebalanced, stays upgraded and the pace slowed. Send an enquiry with your dates and group size and we will build the exact plan and price for you.
