Dubai is the easiest international family trip from India: a four-hour flight, a visa in three days, Indian food on every corner, and a city where half the attractions were built for children. This guide is the family version of a Dubai trip: the days that work with children of each age, the tickets worth the money, the hotels that make it easy, the summer plan for the May and June holidays, and what a family of four spends in 2026.
The five-day family plan
The 5 Days Dubai Family Getaway at ₹45,000 per adult is paced for children: one big thing a day, an early finish on the travel days, and a Downtown hotel so nothing is far.
- Day 1: arrive, the hotel pool, the fountain show at 7 pm from the Dubai Mall bridge; the Dubai Aquarium wall in the mall is free to watch.
- Day 2: the Burj Khalifa in the morning slot, the aquarium and underwater zoo, KidZania in the mall if the children are 4 to 12; the evening at the Marina.
- Day 3: the desert safari from 3 pm: dune driving (gentle on request for small children), camel ride, sandboarding, the camp dinner and shows; back by 10 pm.
- Day 4: Aquaventure at Atlantis, the full day: the waterpark, the Lost Chambers aquarium, the Palm monorail there and back.
- Day 5: Global Village in season or the Mall of the Emirates, and the flight home.

The tickets, September 2026
- Aquaventure: about AED 320 an adult, less for children under 1.2 metres; a full day, the best ₹8,000 you will spend.
- Burj Khalifa: AED 169 to 240 an adult, children 4 to 12 about AED 130, under 4 free.
- Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo: about AED 200; the mall-side viewing wall is free.
- KidZania Dubai: about AED 150 a child; adults less.
- IMG Worlds of Adventure: about AED 350, indoor, the summer choice.
- Ski Dubai: about AED 250 for the snow park, more with skiing; jackets and boots included.
- Warner Bros. World, Abu Dhabi: about AED 350, fully indoor.
- Ferrari World: about AED 350; a height limit of 1.3 metres on the big rides.
- Desert safari: AED 150 to 250 shared; children under 5 are usually half price or free.
- Global Village: AED 25 to 30; October to April.

Hotels that make it easy
- Downtown or Business Bay: five minutes from the Dubai Mall, the fountain and the metro; the family package's base. Family rooms and connecting rooms exist in most four-stars; ask early.
- The Palm: Atlantis itself, or a resort on the fronds with Aquaventure access, if the waterpark is the trip; ₹18,000 a night and up.
- JBR and the Marina: apartment hotels with a kitchen, a walk to the beach, the Ain Dubai wheel across the water; the best value for a family of five or six.
- Deira: the saving choice, on the metro and beside the souks; the pools are smaller.
Food
Every mall has a food court with South Indian, North Indian, Arabic and pizza at AED 30 to 45 a head; Karama and Deira have Indian restaurants at AED 15 to 30 with children's portions on request. Hotel breakfasts are large and included in every package. Water and snacks cost supermarket prices at a Carrefour or Spinneys and hotel prices in the minibar; fill a bag on the first evening.
The summer holiday plan
May and June are 40°C and above, and they are also the Indian school holidays and the cheapest Dubai of the year. The trick is to plan the trip indoors and in the water: Aquaventure and the Palm resorts' pools, IMG Worlds, Ski Dubai, the Dubai Aquarium, KidZania, the Museum of the Future, the malls with the Summer Surprises sales, and the beach before 9 am. The desert safari runs with the dune drive after 4 pm. A Palm resort in June costs what a Deira four-star costs in December, so the summer trip is often the better hotel for less money.

Practical things parents ask
- Visa: every child needs one, at the same fee; children under 18 are filed on a parent's application. See the visa guide.
- Strollers: the metro, the malls and the Palm monorail take them; the desert camp and the souks do not.
- Car seats: the private car in every package can carry one on request; taxis do not.
- Pharmacies and hospitals: on every mall floor and open late; travel insurance at ₹600 to ₹1,200 a head covers a clinic visit.
- Timing the day: mornings for the outdoor things, afternoons for the pool or a mall, evenings out again. Dubai's evenings are long and safe.
