1Day 1 - Trip begins at Paro Airport - Land at Paro and transfer to Thimphu
- Clear the permit desk on arrival at Paro airport
- Drive across to the capital and check in
- Free afternoon: Ludrong Memorial Garden with its native Bhutanese plants, or the craft demonstrations at Simply Bhutan
- Options nearby include Deer Park, the Sangaygang viewpoint and the Zilukha nunnery
2Day 2 - A full day around Thimphu
- Start at the National Memorial Chorten
- Stand below the 51.5 m Buddha Dordenma
- Look for the takin at the Motithang preserve
- Walk through Tashichho Dzong and the older Simtokha Dzong
- Add Changangkha Lhakhang, Simply Bhutan and the Royal Textile Academy, then browse the handicrafts emporium
3Day 3 - Drive to Paro and sightseeing
- Check out and head to the Paro valley
- See Drukgyel Dzong, once a defensive stronghold against Tibetan raids
- On a clear day, look out to Jhomolhari, Bhutan's second highest peak at 7,314 m
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th century temple and one of the country's oldest
- Check in for the night
4Day 4 - Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong and the Tiger's Nest hike
- Open the day at the Ta Dzong watchtower, now the national museum
- Continue to the fortress of Rinpung Dzong
- Drive to the trailhead and walk about 7 km up to Taktsang Monastery
- Take in the Paro valley views, the meditation caves, prayer wheels and murals
- Return to the hotel
5Day 5 - Trip ends at Paro Airport - Departure
- Check out in Paro
- Private transfer to Paro airport for your flight home
