Flying to Bhutan from Hyderabad
There is no non-stop flight from Hyderabad to Bhutan. Fly to Delhi or Kolkata and connect to Paro on Drukair or Bhutan Airlines, or take one of the two daily non-stops to Bagdogra (about 2 hours 15 to 30 minutes) and drive roughly 160 km, usually four to five hours, to the Phuentsholing border. Paro flights run in daylight only: the Kolkata departure is around 8:30 am, so you would reach Kolkata the evening before, and the Delhi departures around 12:30 to 1 pm can be made on an early flight from Hyderabad, though on separate tickets many travellers still arrive the night before.
Flights from Hyderabad leave from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) at Shamshabad. They are not part of the package price: the planner quotes them separately on request, so you choose the airline, the timing and the fare, and the trip starts from the airport transfer when you land.
