Every day runs on a private cab - the order and pace are yours to change.
1Day 1 - Trip begins at Siliguri - Arrive in Siliguri, drive up to Darjeeling
- Your private cab meets you at NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport for a scenic climb into the hills to Darjeeling.
- Check in to your hotel and settle in with the rest of the day free.
- If you feel like stepping out, ride the heritage toy train or visit the old Ghum Monastery at your own pace.
2Day 2 - Darjeeling sightseeing day
- Catch the early light over the Kanchenjunga range from Tiger Hill.
- Watch the toy train curl through the gardens at Batasia Loop, then spend a quiet moment at the centuries-old Ghoom Monastery.
- Continue to the Himalayan Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Peace Pagoda and the Tibetan Refugee Center.
- Breakfast at the hotel; evening free to wander Mall Road and the tea shops.
3Day 3 - Drive to Gangtok, evening free
- After breakfast and check-out, take a lovely drive along the Teesta valley to Gangtok, Sikkim's capital.
- Check in and relax, then explore at your own pace.
- Good easy outings nearby: Do Drul Chorten with its golden dome, the viewpoint at Ganesh Tok, or Rumtek Monastery with its Tibetan architecture.
4Day 4 - Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir excursion
- Head out on a full-day excursion to the high mountains east of Gangtok, pausing at Kyongnosla for waterfalls and alpine greenery.
- Take in Tsomgo Lake at about 12,400 ft, a glacial lake that shifts colour with the seasons, ringed by snowy peaks.
- Visit Baba Mandir, the shrine honouring army soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh, whom locals believe still watches over the frontier.
- Optional yak rides and ropeway at the lake; carry warm layers.
5Day 5 - Drive to Kalimpong and explore the town
- Check out and take a scenic drive down to laid-back Kalimpong; check in and freshen up.
- Explore the town: hands-on exhibits at the Science Centre, the Army Golf Course against a Himalayan backdrop, and Pine View Nursery with its 1,500 plus cactus varieties.
- Soak in the views from Deolo and Durpin Dara viewpoints and end at the peaceful Zang Dhok Palri Monastery.
6Day 6 - Trip ends at Bagdogra - Departure
- After breakfast, check out and let your cab drive you back to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport for your onward journey.
