1Day 1 - Trip begins at Siliguri - Arrive in Siliguri, drive to Gangtok
- Your private cab meets you at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station for the drive up along the Teesta river to Gangtok.
- Check in and take the evening easy.
- Stroll MG Marg for souvenirs, momos and the city's cafe buzz.
2Day 2 - Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir excursion
- After breakfast, head into the high mountains to Tsomgo (Changu) Lake at about 12,400 ft, known for its colour-changing waters and visiting Brahminy ducks.
- Continue to Baba Mandir, the shrine to soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh, whom locals believe still guards these heights.
- Nathula Pass on the India-China border can be added at extra cost if permits allow (closed Monday and Tuesday).
- Optional yak ride and ropeway at the lake; back to Gangtok for the night.
3Day 3 - Drive north to Lachen
- Set off after breakfast for Lachen, a mountain village at about 9,500 ft in North Sikkim.
- Pass Chungthang town and the meeting point of the Lachen and Lachung rivers, skirting the edge of Kanchenjunga National Park.
- Check in at Lachen, enjoy dinner at your stay and rest for the early start.
4Day 4 - Gurudongmar Lake, return to Gangtok
- Pre-dawn start toward Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest road-accessible lakes in the world, with breakfast at Thangu village on the way.
- Take in the glacial blue lake ringed by snowy ridgelines, a truly otherworldly sight.
- Return to Lachen for lunch, then drive back down to Gangtok for the night.
5Day 5 - Drive to Darjeeling, evening free
- After breakfast, cross from Sikkim into the Darjeeling hills, with valley views and tea gardens lining the last stretch.
- Check in and spend the evening at leisure.
- Wander Mall Road for handicrafts, tea shops and a warm cup of the local brew.
6Day 6 - Darjeeling full-day sightseeing
- Around 4 AM, drive up Tiger Hill to watch the first light hit Kanchenjunga and its neighbouring peaks.
- See the toy-train spiral and war memorial at Batasia Loop, then Ghoom Monastery with its 15 ft Maitreya Buddha.
- After breakfast, continue to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Himalayan Zoological Park with its red pandas, and Tenzing Rock (both closed Thursdays).
- Walk through working tea estates and round off with the Tibetan Refugee Center and the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
7Day 7 - Trip ends at Bagdogra - Departure
- After breakfast, check out and get driven back to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport for your journey home.
