1Day 1 - Trip begins at Hanoi - Arrival in Hanoi and free time
- Land at Hanoi international airport and transfer to the hotel to check in.
- Rest of the day is free for self guided wandering around the old city and lake area.
- Overnight in Hanoi.
2Day 2 - Day trip to Ninh Binh
- Drive out to Ninh Binh for a full day excursion.
- Visit the ancient capital at Hoa Lu and its royal temples.
- See the limestone caves of Tam Coc from a rowing boat (boat ride payable locally).
- Cycle through the countryside to Bich Dong Pagoda, arranged on a private basis.
- Return to Hanoi for the night.
3Day 3 - Halong Bay overnight cruise
- Check out and travel by road to the Halong Bay harbour.
- Board an overnight cruise among the limestone karsts.
- Stop at Ti Top Island and a pearl farm village, with kayaking and swimming on offer.
- Onboard Vietnamese cooking session and overnight in a cabin.
4Day 4 - Back to Hanoi and free time
- Morning tai chi session on deck and a visit to the large Sung Sot cave system.
- Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi, then check in to the hotel.
- Afternoon and evening free at your own pace.
- Overnight in Hanoi.
5Day 5 - Trip ends at Hanoi - Departure
- Check out and transfer to Hanoi international airport for the flight home.
