There is no non-stop from Pune to Bali: connect once through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, 10 to 13 hours including the stop, or start from Mumbai, about three hours away by road. Our Bali packages are land packages: stays, airport transfers, sightseeing and the inclusions listed on each trip page. Flights from Pune are not included; we quote them separately on request. Visa and entry fees are paid separately unless the trip page lists them, and the planner tells you what applies for your dates. As of September 2026, Indian passport holders need Indonesia's visa on arrival for Bali (IDR 500,000, about ₹2,700), which can also be applied for online as an e-VOA at evisa.imigrasi.go.id up to 14 days before flying. We apply for your Bali e-VOA for you before you fly; the e-VOA fee is paid separately. You land with the visa already issued and skip the visa counter at the airport. The e-VOA allows 30 days and can be extended once at an immigration office in Bali. Two more steps are required: the free All Indonesia arrival card within 3 days before landing, and Bali's IDR 150,000 tourist levy, which is also paid separately. Your passport needs six months of validity left. The currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Cards work in hotels and larger restaurants; carry some cash for warungs, drivers and temple entries. UPI does not work in Bali yet (as of September 2026; a UPI link with Indonesia's QRIS codes is planned). Best time: April to October is the dry season and the easiest time to travel; July, August and the Christmas fortnight are the busiest and dearest. The wet months (November to March) are warm and cheaper, with sunny spells between heavy downpours, wettest from December to February, when fast boats to Nusa Penida can be cancelled in rough seas. Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence (expected on 9 March 2027), closes the airport and keeps everyone indoors for 24 hours.

Places to visit in Bali

Ubud: The hill town at the centre of the island: the Sacred Monkey Forest, the palace and market, and the art and craft villages on its roads.
Tegallalang rice terraces: The stepped paddies just north of Ubud, greenest a few weeks after planting, with the swings and cafes along the ridge.
Uluwatu Temple: A sea temple on a 70-metre cliff at the island's southern tip, with the Kecak fire dance performed at sunset; keep glasses and phones from the monkeys.
Tanah Lot: The temple on a rock in the sea off the west coast, cut off at high tide and the most photographed sunset on the island.
Kintamani and Mount Batur: The rim road above the caldera with the volcano and its crater lake below; a pre-dawn hike up Batur for sunrise is the usual add-on.
Nusa Penida: A fast boat from Sanur to the island of Kelingking cliff, Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong; a full day, and a rough sea in the monsoon months.
Tanjung Benoa water sports: The beach for parasailing, jet skis, the banana boat and a sea walk, usually one morning of the trip.
Seminyak, Kuta and Nusa Dua: The three beach bases: Seminyak for the beach clubs, Kuta for the surf and nightlife, Nusa Dua for calm water and resort beaches.
Tirta Empul: The water temple near Ubud where Balinese Hindus bathe in the spring-fed pools; sarongs are provided at the gate.
Tegenungan Waterfall: The easiest big waterfall to reach from Ubud, a short flight of steps down to the pool.
Lempuyang Temple: The "Gates of Heaven" in east Bali with Mount Agung framed between them; a long queue for the photo, so go early.
