That counts the return flight, the visa and Bali levy, a land package, meals and spending money, and the flight is the line that moves most. Flights: ₹18,000 to ₹70,000 return, depending on the month
Google Flights' typical economy return fares, checked on 14 September 2026:
- Bengaluru: ₹24,500 to ₹41,000 in February, the cheapest month, and ₹45,500 to ₹70,000 in August, the dearest. IndiGo flies non-stop daily, leaving just after midnight and landing mid-morning, about seven hours. The cheapest non-stop return seen was ₹46,227, against ₹36,673 with one stop.
- Hyderabad: ₹23,000 to ₹45,500 in March and ₹48,500 to ₹63,000 in July. No non-stop; the fastest one-stop on Google Flights takes about 8.5 hours.
- Chennai: ₹17,500 to ₹36,000 in March and ₹44,000 to ₹56,000 in July. No non-stop as of September 2026; the fastest one-stop on Google Flights takes about 7.5 hours.

Visa and the Bali levy: about ₹3,500 per person
Indian passport holders are not visa-free in Indonesia. The visa on arrival costs IDR 500,000, about ₹2,700, plus card charges, and every traveller needs one, children included. Buy it online as an e-VOA at evisa.imigrasi.go.id, the official portal, or at the counter at Bali's Ngurah Rai airport. Bali also charges foreign visitors a tourist levy of IDR 150,000, about ₹800, once per trip. The All Indonesia arrival card you fill in before landing is free.

Stays: ₹1,500 to ₹20,000 and up a night
- Budget: ₹1,500 to ₹3,500 for guesthouse private rooms and basic hotels, less away from central Kuta, Seminyak and Ubud.
- Mid-range: ₹4,500 to ₹10,000 for three- and four-star hotels in Kuta, Seminyak or Ubud.
- Private-pool villa: a one-bedroom villa commonly lists at IDR 900,000 to 2,500,000, about ₹4,900 to ₹13,600, which is why villas turn up in so many honeymoon plans.
- Luxury: roughly ₹20,000 a night and up for five-star resorts in Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Uluwatu and the valleys around Ubud. Treat this one as indicative.
For a couple, the ₹27,800 retreat comes to ₹55,600 for four nights with breakfast, private airport transfers, a central Bali day, water sports, a Balinese massage and a Nusa Penida day trip. Four mid-range nights alone are ₹18,000 to ₹40,000.
Food: ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 a day per person
Eating at warungs and cafés costs about ₹1,000 to ₹1,800 per person a day: nasi campur is IDR 25,000 to 45,000 (₹140 to ₹250) and a café lunch IDR 75,000 to 150,000 (₹400 to ₹800). With restaurant dinners, plan ₹3,000 to ₹5,000; a mid-range dinner for two is about IDR 400,000, ₹2,200. Menus marked "++" add tax and a service charge. Breakfast is included on our packages, so budget for lunch and dinner. Indian and vegetarian food are easy to find in Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua and Ubud.
Getting around and entry tickets
There is no practical public transport for visitors. Sightseeing days are by car with a driver, which our packages include, and Grab or Gojek covers short rides; a 15-minute Grab is about IDR 116,000, ₹630. Scooters rent from about IDR 60,000 a day, but crashes are the most common serious problem for visitors. Entry tickets as of September 2026:
- Ubud Monkey Forest: IDR 130,000 (about ₹705) per foreign adult, after a rise reported from April 2026.
- Ulun Danu Beratan: IDR 100,000 (₹545) per foreign adult since 1 July 2026. Tanah Lot: IDR 100,000 per foreign adult, a rise reported from April 2026.
- Uluwatu Temple: about IDR 60,000 per foreign adult after a 2026 increase, plus about IDR 150,000 (₹815) for the Kecak dance at sunset.

How to bring the number down
- Fly in February or March. July, August, Christmas and Diwali cost the most.
- Compare one stop with the Bengaluru non-stop: on the dates checked, the cheapest one-stop return was about ₹9,500 less.
- For dry weather without peak prices, travel April to June.
- Change money only at licensed money changers showing the Bank Indonesia logo; unlicensed kiosks short-change customers. UPI does not work in Bali yet.
